September 15, 2022
The Camrose Neighbour Aid organization reported their building had been vandalized. Graffiti and damages to the exterior of the building including broken lights, vents, and stairs. Please contact Police if you have any information.
While conducting a traffic stop for an equipment violation, Police were threatened by the male driver which resulted in the male being arrested for uttering threats. He was later released to appear in court.
A male was arrested for assault, uttering threats, and breaching a court order after Police responded to a residential disturbance. The male was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Police attended a residence regarding an assault involving 2 males. One male was arrested for assault, uttering threats and resisting arrest after a brief struggle with Police. The male was later released to appear in court.
Management at the Duggan Mall reported an ongoing issue of vehicles stunting in the rear alley causing damage to the roadway and projecting gravel at the building. Police are investigating.

Police assisted city staff members in removing a female from a public park. The female had set up camp in contravention of bylaws.
Police are investigating a theft of fuel from vehicles within a city owned compound.
Several minor incidents mediated between individuals regarding property disputes.

Police dealt with multiple mental health complaints and provided individuals assistance in accessing mental health resources.
A report of theft from a vehicle was received. Numerous camping items and a licence plate were stolen. Police are investigating.

Responded to several suspicious person reports.
The driver of the truck involved in yesterday’s attempted bicycle theft was identified. A male is facing multiple charges related to the vehicle.

Staff at a west end business reported a suspicious female loitering in their parking lot. Police found the female to have outstanding warrants and she was subsequently arrested. The female was later released to appear in court.
Police attempted to stop a dark coloured 1990’s model Ford Mustang for an unauthorized licence plate. The vehicle fled from Police and investigation continues.
An attempted theft was reported where 2 males tried to steal bicycles from the front of a business before leaving in a truck. A vehicle and licence plate description was provided and revealed the licence plate was reported stolen and did not belong to the vehicle. Police later located the unoccupied vehicle and found the VIN had been tampered with. The vehicle was seized and Police are investigating.

Police received multiple welfare check requests for a male that suffered from alcoholism and was at risk for self harm. The male was eventually located with a friend and advice was provided for continued mental health support.
A male attended the Police Service and was arrested for being unlawfully at large. The male was held for bail and later released to appear in court.
A pick-up truck fled from Police after a traffic stop was attempted. Without being pursued the driver continued to operate the vehicle in a dangerous manner, leaving a trail of damage as they struck posts, signs, fences, trees, traffic barricades, and a building. Police located the vehicle a short time later and observed 2 occupants exit. The male driver was arrested and found to be grossly intoxicated by alcohol. He is facing numerous charges including criminal impaired driving, dangerous driving, flight from Police, and driving while disqualified. The male passenger was also arrested and charged with flight from Police.

A wellbeing check was requested for a male after he failed to show up for appointments. The male was located and found not to be in any distress.
Police responded to a west end business where a theft of merchandise had occurred. The suspects had left the store with items valued over $250 and fled in a dark coloured SUV. Investigation continues.
Several individuals were located and arrested on outstanding warrants. One male was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl, he was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Multiple complaints received regarding homeless people camping in public parks. The individuals were located and spoke to regarding violation of bylaws and were offered resources options for assistance.
A break and enter was reported to a storage compound where the gate was damaged and two units were entered with minor loss of property.
Medical staff requested a welfare check on a male that was recently discharged from a care facility. The male was located and no concerns for his wellbeing.

A fraud was reported where personal information was used to open a cellular phone account. This is a good reminder for the public to monitor their credit activity through reliable sources such as banks, Equifax, or Credit Karma, and report suspicious activity to appropriate authorities.
Police received a complaint of a male who collapsed after having varying levels of consciousness. It was determined the male was under the influence of illicit drugs and care was provided by EMS.
A third party complaint was received advising of an incident involving domestic violence. Police investigation revealed a female had been assaulted by a male who was later arrested and charged with one count of assault.

Police conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation. The male driver immediately exited the vehicle and was displaying assaultive behavior towards members. A taser was drawn to gain compliance. The male calmed down and was issued the pertinent violation tickets.
Police responded to a complaint of a male breaking windows at a local residence. The same male was also identified as the person threatening to stab a patron at a downtown pub. The male left on foot and proceeded to throw another rock threw the window of a business nearby. The male was located and placed under arrested after a brief struggle. He was charged with numerous crimes including mischief, uttering threats and assault P.O.

Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in a white Sunfire. The vehicle was located parked on the street and 3 males standing outside the vehicle. Members determined the vehicle was unsafe for the road and it was towed. No charges for impaired driving.

Medical Staff requested Police assistance in locating an outpatient who was considered at risk of harm. Police found the patient and transferred care to EMS.
Police effected an arrest of a male in relation to an ongoing mischief investigation. The male also had outstanding parole warrants and was remanded into custody.

An unlocked holiday trailer was entered and several items stolen including a jobsite radio and a suitcase containing children’s clothing. Please remember to lock your property and belongings to avoid loss and deter criminal activity.
Police responded to a licenced establishment after a report of a male being injured and bleeding. The male was found to have collapsed and in need of medical attention. EMS attended and he was left in their care.
During proactive patrols Police noted a vehicle parked at a residence where the driver was known to be trespassing. The male eventually exited the home and was served his 4th violation under the Petty Trespass Act and is mandated to appear in Court.
While investigating recent property thefts at a residence, Police noted a male in the area who had outstanding warrants for criminal matters. The male was arrested and later released to appear in Provincial Court.
Police arrested another on warrants after observing him walking along the street. He was released under obligation to attend Court.
August 30, 2022
A report was received of a male stealing clothing from donation bins. The male was located and determined to have outstanding warrants for unpaid fines. He was arrested and to be held in custody until his fines are paid.
A suspicious vehicle was reported loitering in the industrial area of Camrose. Police stopped the vehicle and identified the occupants finding the male driver had a suspended licence and was breaching conditions of a previous release. The male was arrested an further investigation revealed he was also in possession stolen property. The male was later released on numerous criminal and provincial charges.
An east end business reported a theft of a tool box from their compound. Police are investigating.
August 29, 2022
An assisted living facility requested police assistance in locating a client that had not returned. Police attended and the client was found nearby.
Police received a 911 call where a disturbance could be heard in the background. Police attended the residence and determined the disturbance involved a person with behavioural disabilities. The situation had been deescalated and support mechanisms identified.
A west end business reported a shoplifter was attempting to steal a large quantity of items from the store. Police arrested a female who had stolen $420 in merchandise from the business. The female was later released on charges for theft.

A complaint was received regarding a group of people fighting in the street. Police attended and dispersed the group while mediating a verbal dispute between two males. All involved agreed to cease contact with one another.
Police attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic enforcement resulting in the driver taking evasive action to avoid Police. Investigation revealed the identity of the driver and criminal charges for flight from Police, dangerous driving, and mischief are pending along with multiple provincial offences.

Police responded to a residence to assist the occupant with a male who was causing a disturbance. Upon arrival Police noted the male fled the area as he was subject to a trespass notice not to be at the residence. He was located and found to have an outstanding warrant for breaching his probation order. The male was arrested and later released to appear in Provincial Court for his probation charge and violating a trespass notice.

Police mediated numerous complaints regarding breach of peace and noisy parties.
Police attended a residence regarding an altercation between 2 males. It was determined that they were intoxicated and one of the males was attempting fight the other. The male was arrested for causing a disturbance and lodged in Police holding cells until sober.

While on routine patrols Police observed a male known to have outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and found to be in possession of a credit card which belonged to a female who reported her wallet had been recently stolen. The man was held in custody for a bail hearing and is facing new charges for possession of stolen property and misuse of credit card.
Police are investigating a theft of lumber from a construction site at 6808 50 Avenue that occurred sometime overnight. Witnesses reported a blue and white truck in the area that is believed to be involved. Please contact Police if you have any information.

Police responded to a vehicle theft and determined it was taken by an individual known by the owner. Police mediated and the vehicle was returned without further issue.
Police were called to a residence to assist with a female who was causing a disturbance. Police deescalated the situation determining that the female suffered from mental illness. She was left in the care of family.
August 23, 2022
Police received a report of a vehicle that was traveling through the city recklessly and at a high rate of speed. Police were able to engage the vehicle which then fled eastbound from the city. Police advised the neighbouring RCMP detachments who later located the vehicle and the driver. Charges are pending.
Police observed a male known to have warrants and attempted to stop him. The male then fled from Police on a bicycle but was located a short time later and arrested. The man was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Multiple industrial businesses reported break and enters to their compounds and theft of catalytic converters from company vehicles. Theft activity involving catalytic converters from vehicles, mainly trucks, has been increasing over the past weeks. Police recommend parking vehicles inside buildings, in well lit areas, and in close proximity to security cameras where possible to deter criminal activity. Daily checks are also suggested as many of these incidents are not noted or reported until days after they occur.
A male was observed taking property from a residence and subsequently arrested by Police. The man was found to possess illicit drugs and a bike that did not belong to him.

Police stopped a vehicle for traffic enforcement and observed the driver to display signs of impairment. A roadside screening determined the driver was impaired by alcohol resulting in the vehicle being seized and the driver is facing provincial impaired driving sanctions.

Police received a report from a female advising someone was attempting to sell a bicycle which was stolen from her. Police intervened and determined the seller had found the bike and unaware it was stolen. Police assisted in returning the bike to the owner. Any found property of value should always be turned into Police or another applicable authority to ensure it is dealt with appropriately.
Police responded to a residential disturbance where they located a female known to have outstanding warrants. The female was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance search warrant at residence which resulted in the arrest of two individuals. Police seized quantities of narcotics along with stolen property which found in the home. A Camrose man is facing charges related to illegal drugs and property crime.

Police apprehended a female pursuant to a mental health warrant. The female was transported to a mental health facility for assessment.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance where a female had injured herself during a dispute. Police determined nothing criminal had occurred and mediated with assistance of EMS.
Reports were received regarding a female yelling at people behind the Duggan Mall. Police located the grossly intoxicated woman and arrested her for public intoxication.

A down town business reported a theft of liquor after a male ran in the store and took 2 bottles of alcohol and then fled.
Police were called to a residence where an intoxicated male was causing a disturbance. The male had fled the city prior to Police arrival and determined to be traveling to Edmonton. The male had caused property damage within the residence and is cooperating with Police to resolve the situation.
While in the area of a west side gas station Police observed a vehicle flee the city at a high rate of speed after noting Police presence. The licence plate information was obtained and determined to be stolen from a Camrose County resident. While investigating this incident Police noted another vehicle in the area that was stolen from central Alberta. This vehicle also fled from Police after the driver observed Police. Both incidents are still under investigation.
August 16, 2022
Police observed a female exiting a parked vehicle which was found to be uninsured and unregistered and warned the female to leave the vehicle parked on private property until the proper documents were in place. Police later observed the female operating the vehicle on public streets which resulted in a traffic stop and the vehicle being towed. The female driver was charged with several traffic offences and is to appear in provincial court.
Police are investigating a theft of a vehicle from a business in the industrial area near 39st and 44 ave in Camrose. A maroon coloured 2013 Ram heavy duty truck with a dump style trailer attached was stolen mid-morning. Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward with information.
A male was observed fleeing on foot after he noted Police presence near him. The male was pursued and arrested as he was known to Police and determined to have warrants. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Police received a stolen vehicle complaint as the owner observed the suspect drive away with their early 2000’s Ford F250 truck. The vehicle was recovered just hours later after the owner observed it abandoned in a park area. The vehicle was equipped with a steering wheel “Club” which is believed to have deterred the thief from driving the vehicle further.

Police recovered an abandoned ATV near the north city boundary. It was determined the ATV had been stolen from a near by property. The ATV was returned to the owner and investigation continues.
Police were called to assist an east end business with a male that was refusing to remove his vehicle from their property after the business declined to repair it. Police mediated and advice was given to both parties.
Police investigated a collision on 48 Avenue near 66 Street. It was determined the collision was a result of a vehicle following too close and the driver was charged accordingly. A reminder from Police that collisions can be avoided by ensuring adequate attention to traffic conditions as well as time and space for other motorists.

An elderly male with dementia was reported missing after becoming separated from family at a shopping centre. The man was eventually located and reunited with family.
A suspicious abandoned vehicle was reported at a north side business and determined it to be stolen from another business in Camrose County. Police are investigating.
A theft occurred at a gas station where suspects entered and stole items from a display. Police obtained video surveillance and are investigating leads.

Police received a missing person report after family members were unable to contact a female. The female was located and family notified.
Several reports of minor disputes were received and mediated by Police.
August 12, 2022
Police received a report of 2 young males who were lighting fires on sidewalks. The males were located and found to be burning small amounts of newspapers on the sidewalk and were warned of the consequences and public safety risk.
Several thefts were reported including a licence plate from a parked holiday trailer.
Police attended a licenced premise where an intoxicated female was determined to be causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. The situation was mediated.
An assault was reported where a female was attacked by another female who was known to her. The victim sustained substantial injuries. The woman responsible was arrested and held for a bail hearing facing criminal charges for assault.

Police were advised of an abandoned residence where it appeared people were living who did not belong there. Police contacted the property owner and are investigating.
Police are investigating a historical sexual assault involving two complainants who reported the same male was responsible. The matter is under investigation.
August 10, 2022
Police recovered a stolen vehicle which was taken from a local hotel. The owner was contacted and vehicle was returned.
A theft of a scooter was reported at the skate park. It is described as having silver front wheel, black rear wheel, silver House of Wheels bars with blue grips.
Three separate occurrences of flight from Police occurred over night. Investigations are continuing with one suspect identified to date.

Police received a complaint that a semi-truck had been speeding through a construction zone and nearly hit 5 workers. The vehicle was located and the male driver was issued a driving carelessly ticket and warned of subsequent fines for similar offences. Another reminder to the community that construction area speed limits must be followed and will be enforced.
A female reported that over the weekend she was at a party where she sexual assaulted by another female. This matter is under investigation.
A local hotel reported that they were having difficulties with removing a very intoxicated male from their premises. The male was arrested and lodged till sober.
A local male was arrested and lodged on (11) various warrants for theft and property related offences.
A male was arrested for breaching his conditional sentence order (house arrest), which had a curfew condition.
August 8, 2022
A Police investigation lead to the identification of a male involved who fled from Police in a stolen F350 on August 3, 2022. A warrant was obtained as the male was charged with dangerous driving, possession of stolen property, no insurance and drive while suspended.
A north end business reported that (3) of their trucks has the catalytic converters stolen overnight. A male has been identified and this matter is still under investigation.
Members were conducting bike patrols and came across a suspicious male riding an ebike. The male, who was identified by Police, fled from immediately. When he was caught up to, the male had ditched his backpack, ebike and hoodie. Members searched the area and located the backpack which had the stolen Dewalt Sawzall the was stolen from an east end business the day before. They also seized the ebike, which had been recently spray painted green. This bike is a retro style bike. If you are missing an ebike please reported it to the Camrose Police Service. This matter is still under investigation.
Numerous vehicles fled from Police over the night. A community reminder that criminals are very active right now and will steal any vehicle or property that is not locked down properly.
August 7, 2022
On north end business reported that their storage trailer had been broken into. Unknown persons had cut the lock and stole various items. Police located a helmet with fresh fingerprints and are continuing to investigate. Multiple business in the north side have been hit with break and enters and thefts. A reminder to the public to report suspicious behavior and to lock up your personal items.
Police received a 911 compliant of a fight in progress with property being damaged. Patrol made and it was determined that a male entered the property and was breaking windows with a crescent wrench. A female also entered the property and assaulted the male occupant. Members later located the two suspects and arrested them for various charges. A third male was located inside the house and it was determined he had multiple warrants from different jurisdictions throughout Alberta. He was also arrested and lodged.

An east end business reported that the previous night a male had stolen a Dewalt Sawzall. Police obtained video surveillance and have identified a possible suspect. Still under investigation.
Police responded to a noisy party complaint. The issue was dealt with and all parties left the area. One male was grossly intoxicated, had no fixed abode and was unable to look after himself. The male was lodged in cells until sober.
Members attended a 911 call to remove a male from a residence where he was causing issues. Male was cooperative but extremely intoxicated and subsequently lodged for the night.

Police received a report from a landlord advising recently evicted tenants left property and documents behind. Investigation indicated the property had been stolen. Investigation to continue.
A local gas station indicated that sometime over night an unknown vehicle had struck the side of the building causing damage. Matter is under investigation.

Police responded to a health care facility to assist staff with a patient displaying violent behaviour. Police attended and the patient was de-escalated.
August 3, 2022
A female determined to be in mental health crisis was observed by police to be leaving her residence in a vehicle. Police were able to intervene and the female was conveyed to a mental health facility for assessment.
A report of an intoxicated female at a west end business was received. Police located the female and escorted her back to her relative’s residence to be cared for. Later in the evening the same female had caused a disturbance in the home and was arrested to prevent further breach of peace.
Police executed a warrant in relation to the Mental Health Act and transported the individual to a mental health facility.

A break and enter to a city compound was reported with some miscellaneous property stolen.
Police received multiple complaints of an intoxicated female attending random residences and kicking doors. The female was located and arrested for public intoxication.
Police responded to a residential disturbance to find a male and female had been involved in a dispute. Police mediated and both parties were separated for the night.

A report of a stolen Ford F250 was received from the owner. The vehicle was later recovered in Camrose County.
A Chevrolet Malibu car was reported stolen and still being investigated.

A 911 call was received regarding a physical altercation in a residence. Police investigation determined that a male and female had been assaulted by a group of males. Police located and arrested 4 males deemed to be responsible. They are all facing criminal charges for break and enter and assault.
Police responded to a health facility after a mental health patient became aggressive toward staff. Police were able to assist and the situation was deescalated.
Police received a 911 call advising of a domestic disturbance in the street involving a male and female. Police located them in a vehicle and determined that the male was subject to release conditions to have no contact with the female. The male was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a female being assaulted by a male. Investigation determined the two were known to each other and female had been assaulted by the male multiple times after he forced his way into the residence. The male was arrested and held for a bail hearing on multiple assault charges and breach of release conditions.

Police received a report of a male displaying erratic behaviour in the parking lot of a business. The man was located and arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was held in custody until sober and is facing charges for resisting arrest.
A fraud was reported involving a substantial amount of money that was transferred internationally. Contact with the victim was initiated from someone claiming to be from a foreign law enforcement agency who were advising of an imminent arrest for a debt owed. This incident is similar to the Canada Revenue scam that has been circulating over the recent years.
July 27, 2022
Multiple calls were received regarding a male beside a roadway that appeared to be in distress. Police located the man and determined he had pre-existing conditions that required attention. EMS was contacted and the male was taken for assessment via ambulance.
A business reported that their storage shed had been broken into twice in the past week. Police have collected evidence and are investigating.
A 23 year old male was arrested for outstanding warrants, he was later released to appear in Provincial Court.

A city compound was broken into and tools stolen from a work vehicle.
A restaurant employee advised that former patrons who were no longer allowed in the establishment had re-attended. Police mediated and a female was issued a trespass notice.
Police responded to a motel after staff advised of a male threatening them while producing a knife. Police arrested the male and he was held in custody for a bail hearing .
A suspicious male was reported to be loitering in the yard of a residence. Police located the man and determined he was grossly intoxicated. He was arrested and lodged in holding cells to sober up.

Police are investigating a commercial break and enter where the business suffered damaged property and theft of money.
Members were called to a disturbance in a parking lot involving a male and female. The dispute was resolved and the male was arrested on outstanding warrants.
Police responded to a residence to investigate an assault where a female was reported to have minor injuries from a fight with a male. Police are investigating.
Police attended a residence regarding a breach of peace and mediated a dispute between two females who were known to each other. They were separated for the night.
A convenience store reported several youths had left the store without paying for items. The group was located and determined one youth was responsible.

A west end business reported a theft from their store and was able to provide Police with information regarding the suspects and vehicle. The matter is being investigated.
Another business reported a male ran out of their store with a shopping cart full of merchandise. Police located the male and determined he stole approximately $1000 in property from the store.

Several reports of unlocked vehicles bring entered and various items stolen.
A residential garage was broken into and a truck and camper were stolen from the rear drive of a residence.
Police received another warrant to execute under provisions of the Mental Health Act and apprehended a person believed to be in mental health distress. Police delivered the person to a mental health facility for assessment.
A vehicle stop resulted in provincial sanctions against the driver for impaired operation of a vehicle.

A vehicle stop resulted in Police finding the occupants were breaching release orders in having contact with each other. Further investigation led Police to locating several illicit drugs in their possession. the occupants were taken into custody to await a bail hearing.

A fraud was reported involving a person that claimed to be from Amazon. The caller convinced the victim to divulge personal information and download apps to their phone which provided access to their device.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance and determined a female had been assaulted by a male. Police arrested the male and held him in custody for bail hearing.

A break and enter occurred to an unlocked garage and various tools were stolen.
A business reported a theft of merchandise by an employee. Police are investigating.
Police received a warrant to execute under provisions of the Mental Health Act and apprehended a person believed to be in mental health distress. Police delivered the person to a mental health facility for assessment.

Police received several reports of unlocked vehicles being entered and items being stolen. Please be mindful in securing unattended vehicles and property to avoid loss and inconvenience.
A female was found to be breaching conditions of a previous release order. She was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.
A fraud was reported after an item was advertised over social media and purchased via e-transfer. It was later discovered the item and the pick-up address did not exist.
Police responded to a residential disturbance and located several intoxicated subjects having verbal argument. Police mediated and all parties were separated for the night.

A business reported a break and enter to their compound, and a theft from their store occurring in the same day. Police are investigating.
Police were called to an east end compound where one vehicle was stolen and another attempted theft of a vehicle occurred. The business was able to provide video surveillance to assist in the investigation.
Two youths are facing a criminal investigation after taking a vehicle without consent of the owner and causing substantial damage to it.

Police attempted a traffic stop with a vehicle noted to be engaged in suspicious activity which resulted in the vehicle fleeing from the city. Police continue to investigate as they have identified one of the occupants.

A male and female known to have several outstanding warrants were observed in a residence. Police negotiations resulted in their peaceful surrender and they were subsequently arrested.
A female reported her male room mate had assaulted her in the home. Police arrested the 48 year old male for assault and determined he also had several outstanding warrants. The male was lodged awaiting a bail hearing.
While conducting licenced premise checks Police discovered a male who was breaching his release conditions. The male was arrested and remanded into custody.

Police received a 911 call of a male in distress and located a 53 year old man was observed to be in mental health crisis. The man and was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and left in the care of mental health resources.
Police received a complaint of a male that was knocking on the windows of a residence. Police located the 24 year old male and determined he was beaching conditions of a previous release from custody. He was arrested and brought before a Justice of the Peace where he was granted cash bail.

A man requested assistance in removing an intoxicated female from his residence. Police determined the 32 year old female was causing a disturbance in the home and was arrested to prevent further breach of peace.
An east side business reported a male was trying to steal property form their business. Police located the 28 year old male who was intoxicated by drugs and found to have outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and lodged for a bail hearing.
Police were called to a disturbance in a residence where they located a male with outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and later released to appear in court.

A garage was broken into and numerous tools and ATV’s were stolen. Police are investigating several leads.
A 48 year old man was arrested for assault following an investigation of an incident that occurred during Jaywalker’s Jamboree. He was later released from custody to appear in court.

Police responded to a residential disturbance where a 22 year old male was found to be grossly intoxicated, breaking windows, and throwing objects out of the dwelling. The male did not reside at the home and was determined to have outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and lodged in holding cells.
A collision was reported after a vehicle struck a building in the downtown area. No injuries were sustained and Police are investigating.
A west end business reported a male and female were stealing merchandise from the store. Investigation determined a 44 year old male and 34 year old female had stolen $700 in products which they stashed in their backpacks and bulky clothing. The male was also found to be breaching previous release conditions. Both were arrested and later released for a court appearance facing theft and breach charges.

Police received a report of a hit and run collision where evidence from the offending vehicle was left on scene. Police later located the suspect vehicle and determined it was stolen the previous night from a parking lot in Camrose.
Police responded to a business panic alarm and found two males had entered with face coverings and stole merchandise before fleeing. The investigation continues with potential suspects identified.

A business reported a break and enter to their locked compound. Police found that a catalytic converter was stolen from a company vehicle during the break-in.

A downtown business reported a customer had their purse had been stolen while in the store. Police investigation identified a 36 year old Camrose female was responsible and charges are pending.

Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle drive over the curb and fail to maintain center of lane. The 42 year old driver was found to be grossly intoxicated and unwilling to provide to provide a roadside alcohol screening. The male was arrested and charged for impaired driving and other provincial offences.

An east end business reported an attempted break and enter into their business in the early hours. A male was noted on surveillance checking all the doors. The male was operating a brown Ford truck that had fled on Police earlier in the day.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter into a residence. Members attended and determined a male entered the main floor of a suite and began assaulting two females after he was confronted. The male damaged 2 televisions, a door and a cell phone. The male was arrested and charged with assault x2 and mischief.
Police responded to a 911 domestic violence complaint. Members attended the residence and determined that the male had assaulted the female by punching, biting and choking her. There were visible injuries to the female’s body and face. The male was arrested for assault causing bodily harm x2, assault x2, utter threats and breaching his conditions. The male is being held awaiting a JIR hearing.

911 received multiple calls about a garage fire. Camrose Fire attended and was able to put out the fire. Fire was determined to be an electrical issue.
Police received a report that unknown persons had opened up 2 EPCOR accounts under a defrauded name. A collection agency was contacting the individual looking for $5000 payment. This matter is still under investigation.
911 call received of a two-vehicle collision at 51 avenue and 53 street. It was determined that one of the vehicles failed to stop at the stop sign resulting in contact between the vehicles. One of the vehicles hit the curb and rolled onto its roof. No injuries in the collision. Violations tickets issued for fail to stop at a stop sign.

Police were called to a disturbance between a male and a female. During the dispute the female bit the male and then left the residence. Both parties were separated for the evening and no charges were laid.
A concerned citizen reported that a dog at large had bit her on the back side unprovoked after it had escaped from its yard. The dog was not registered. The owner was advised about quarantine requirements for the dog and issued a ticket for unregistered dog.

A stolen KIA soul was located in the west end of Camrose. Members located a male and female occupant inside the vehicle and both were arrested. The male was charged with possession of stolen property. The male was also out on warrants for various drug related charges from Edmonton.

Police received a complaint from a concerned citizen that his white ford F350 was stolen from a locked compound. Police are still investigating this matter
A downtown business reported that the lock was cut to a storage shed in the back of the property. Video surveillance obtained.

Police were patrolling on Mount Pleasant Drive and noted a vehicle that was stolen out of Leduc. Inside the vehicle police located three stolen plate, tools and documents belonging to a local male. Charges to be laid against the male.
Police received a front counter complaint from a citizen indicating that sometime overnight his catalytic converter to his Chevy Avalanche had been cut. The vehicle was parked in a west end business.

Police made attempts to pull over a motorcycle driving 110 km/hr on Camrose drive. Driver fled from Police at high rates of speed. This matter is still under investigation.
While on patrol, police located an older white GMC truck behind an east end business. When the truck observed Police, it fled town at a high rate of speed. This matter is also still under investigation

A downtown business reported that and older orange and white tent trailer was stolen from its parking lot. Surveillance was obtained and the matter is still under investigation.
A west end business called to report that someone had fired a BB gun into the windows of the business over the weekend. Matter is being investigated.

A concerned citizen contacted Police with video showing 5 youths damaging his solar lights. Police were able to locate the male responsible who located the solar light and returned it undamaged. All parties were satisfied with the results.
Police were called to a complaint of extremely intoxicated male banging on a door. The complainant was concerned for his safety. Members attended and were unable to reason with intoxicated male. He was placed under arrested and lodged until sober.

Members responded to two domestic complaints throughout the night. Parties were separate and the situation was mediated. No violence had occurred in either situation.
A third call from a female reporting she had been assaulted by her ex boyfriend. It was determined the male suspect broke into her residence and assaulted both her and her male friend. The suspected later turned himself in and was charged with Break and Enter to commit assault and assault x2.

A Camrose male was stopped for speeding. Regular signs of impairment noted. The male was issued an IRS suspension for failing.

An east end business reported a B&E to its fenced yard. Various tools had been stolen from his trailer in the shop’s compound.
In the early morning a concerned citizen advised he just caught a male trying to steal his Ford F350 behind his residence. The male suspect left in a silver car with a handful of occupants including a female driver. Surveillance obtained and Police have identified a few suspects. Further investigation required.
June 23, 2022
Police were patrolling and came upon a parked vehicle with the driver slouched over in the driver’s seat. Vehicle was pinned to prevent a criminal flight. A female was located in the driver’s seat and was noticeably intoxicated by drugs. Meth and fentanyl were located on the passenger seat. The female was arrested and charged with numerous offences.
Upon receiving numerous complaints from the public regarding a local business, Smoking Good Times, an investigation was initiated by the Camrose Police Service Major Crimes Unit. The public complaints regarded youth, as young as 13 years of age, being able to purchase cannabis and tobacco products from the business. As the investigation progressed further complaints continued to be received from the public.
The investigation confirmed that the business was selling non-regulated cannabis products, non-regulated cigarettes, and psilocybin (also known as Magic Mushrooms) which is a controlled substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
On June 14th, 2022 a search warrant was executed at the business. This search also lead police to a neighboring building which was determined to house most of the illegal products. Further to this, it is believed that this neighboring location was where cannabis products were being packaged and labeled.
During the course of the investigation and the search warrants at the two locations the following was seized:
- Over 29 pounds of cannabis,
- 597 different packages of cannabis infused edibles (the majority were packaged to be similar in appearance to known brands of candy and snack foods),
- 217 THC infused inserts for vaping devices,
- Over 32,000 individual non-regulated cigarettes (over 1,600 packages),
- 130 grams of psilocybin,
- 221 grams of hash, and
- Over 3,000 in cash.
The business owner Norman Bloomfield (48) and two of his staff members, Natasha Horkoff (29) and Nicolas Auger (27), were charged with several offences under the Criminal Code, the Controlled Dug and Substances Act, and the Cannabis Act.

A complainant advised his vehicle was rummaged through while parked at his residence through the night at 4404 block and 66 street close. The suspect stole a positioning sensor and power converter. This matter is still under investigation.
A female was arrested on outstanding warrants and released on an Appearance Notice.

A Camrose male was arrested on outstanding warrants and was put before a Justice of the Peace for a bail hearing.
A Wetaskiwin male was arrested on outstanding warrants for assault and robbery. He was released from custody on an Appearance Notice.
A complainant advised of a female was naked and walking around behind the Co-op Gas Bar. The female was identified by Police and had since put on a bikini top and shorts. The female was arrested on outstanding warrant and released on an Appearance Notice.

Camrose EMS requested Police assistance dealing with a drug overdose. 30 year old male patient, unconscious but breathing. Determined the male overdosed on heroine, EMS was able to revive him and he was left in the care of EMS.
A female attended the Police Service to report she fell for an email scam and gave a fraudster, posing a Canada Post employee all of her personal information including her Visa number. Stated she got emails from 4 different addresses. When she spoke to an actual employee at Canada Post, she was told she was scammed. No money lost at this time. RBC Visa cancelled already. She was educated on possible consequences, and advised on how to mitigate the damage. Just a reminder to all citizens that these scams are still occurring.
Police were called to a dispute involving two males who were yelling at citizens. It was determined that the two males have dealt with the Police numerous times throughout the past few days concerning camping out on City property. Males were told to move off of city property.

A male was arrested and lodged in cells after he was found walking around grossly intoxicated. Male was held till sober.
Members were called to a residence and spoke with a female who indicated her ex boyfriend had choked her while she was picking up her child. After an investigation, the male was arrested and charged with Assault and Utter Threats. The male was later released with various no contact related conditions.
Camrose Police and Fire responded to a truck fire in the community. Camrose Fire took over scene and extinguished the flames. Nothing suspicious was noted, just an old truck.
June 18, 2022
A Camrose male was pulled over for a traffic violation and was determined to have outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and released on an Appearance Notice.
A local west side business called to report that a male was inside the business and was throwing items at customers. Police located the male and determined he was upset over expired meat. The male was issued a trespass notice not to return to the business.
A male called 911 to report a female had punched him three times in the face while at a nightclub in Camrose. The female was not identified or located.
June 17, 2022
A female called Police to report her boyfriend came home with a BB gun and was shooting her inside the house. Attended the residence and arrested the male for assault with a weapon.
A Camrose resident reported the fire alarms where going off inside the building she lived at. Both police and Fire attended the address and determined there were no signs of a fire. The disconnect from the dryer room set off the alarm due to condensation.
After a routine traffic stop police arrested the driver for signs of impairment. The male failed the IRS test and was issued a suspension and a violation for careless driving.
June 16, 2022
Police received a 911 call reporting a male had assaulted a female. Police attended and determined the male had conditions not to be on the property. The investigation resulted in the male being charged with forcible confinement, choking to overcome, assault, possession of weapons dangerous, uttering threats and breach of his conditions.
Members conducted a traffic stop and noted the driver to be out past his curfew. The male was charged with breach of curfew and released on a Appearance Notice
June 15, 2022
Members attended a disturbance between a male and a female, the male was noted to be banging on the door and using threats. The situation was mediated and the male was taken back to his residence. No charges necessary.
A local male who is a well-known property criminal was arrested on outstanding warrants for Theft and PSP.
Members were conducting routine patrols and located 4 subjects in an altercation in the downtown core. All subjects were separated. It was determined that two of the males were intoxicated and entered into a consensual fight, both were arrested on scene. All subjects were friends – just intoxicated. During the altercation a door to the business was damaged. One of the males agreed to pay for the damage. The males were sent on their way.
June 14, 2022
Police responded to a 911 call of a male overdosing inside of his car. The male was unconscious and breathing. EMS attended and was able to revive the male.
A local restaurant call to advise one of their managers brought in personal alcohol into the establishment and was drinking the alcohol. Members attended and the male was immediately argumentative and refused to provide ID. He was then arrested for obstruction. The male continued being difficult and it was unable to reason with him. The business did not wish to pursue a charge and the male employee was later released. Alcohol was noted to be a factor.
A Camrose male was arrested for child sexual assault. This matter is still being investigated.

An Emergency Protection Order was served on a Camrose male for domestic violence related issues.
A male was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on an Undertaking with no contact conditions.
Camrose RCMP sent a BOLO regarding an incident in Bawlf, where a male had assaulted his step mother before leaving the residence. RCMP believed that the male was in possession of firearms and that he may be staying at a campground in the Camrose area. Camrose Police located the vehicle and trailer in a local campground. The male was contacted by phone and agreed to come outside with his hands up and he was eventually arrested with no issues. Investigation turned over the RCMP.
June 12, 2022
On June 9, 2022 the Major Crimes unit executed a Search Warrant on a downtown storage unit. A 52 year male was located inside the unit and was arrested after Police seized numerous stolen property items, illicit drugs and a firearm. The male was release on an Undertaking to appear in court on a later date.
While members were tied up, Police received a report of a possible impaired driver leaving an east end business. The vehicle was later located at outside an alcohol establishment. The male driver was found to be showing signs of alcohol consumption. He was given a 24 hr suspension, vehicle towed, and issued a liquor ticket.

A domestic violence investigation came to an end resulting in a 21 year old Camrose Male being charged for assault, uttering threats and mischief.
A female attended the Camrose Police Service to report that she had been struck by a vehicle on June 9th while crossing an intersection. She was struck by a 21 year old male and sustained minor injuries.
A home owner in the 5900 block of 43 Ave advised he caught a male attempting to steal his vehicle. The male ran away from the area. Extensive patrols to the area were negative. Property left on scene by the suspect. Further investigation required.
June 10, 2022
Police responded to a theft of motor vehicle complaint where at an east end business it was determined the vehicle had been stolen overnight. The vehicle was later located and recovered in Killam, Alberta by the RCMP. A male who is known to be a prolific offender was arrested and charged accordingly.
June 9, 2022
A west end business reported a theft in progress. Police located the female suspect and recovered the stolen property. The female was issued a trespass notice at the request of the business.
Police were called to a disturbance at a residence where a man and woman were involved in an argument. Police mediated the situation and separated the two for the day.
June 8, 2022
A citizen called Police advising that he came across a male assaulting a female in a treed area on the north end of Camrose. The citizen reacted quickly to intervene and called 911. Police attended and arrested the male for assault and determined that he had outstanding warrants from several jurisdictions. Further investigation determined that the female had been assaulted on another occasion the previous day. The man was charged accordingly and remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The Camrose Police Service and EMS have responded to two separate fentanyl overdoses in the past two days. Both incidents, EMS and Police have successfully revived the patients using naloxone. Police want to remind residents of the dangers of fentanyl usage.
